Waiting For The Dawn

Dark is the night
Dark are my dreams
I can't see how
I can mend my wounded soul
My frantic search for peace
My burning thirst for love
I am lost in this maze
Is hate the only way out?

I need a ray of hope
I need a sense of calm
I am waiting for a new day
I am waiting for the dawn

I walk in the wake
Of my broken fate
Deceived, disgraced
Disturbed, disfigured
I am at the crossroad
I dread making a choice
I wish my fate could unfold
Like my feelings; quote, unquote

I need a ray of hope
I need a sense of calm
I am waiting for a new day
I am waiting for the dawn

I don't know why I feel
I am destined to fail
For every time I fail, I feel
My passion to triumph prevail
The peace I am longing for
Is so near, yet so far
Hell yeah I am potent 'n tough
To chase my fate far enough

Bygone are the dark cold nights
I feel invincible again
Yet, here I am, in flesh and blood
To face a new day 'n to fail again!

  1. your songs are like mathematics only...really sounding mathematics
one thing I got to know is you are expecting your fate to succeed like the way your feelings get exposed themselves.(is your fate not succeeding??),

  2. strong emotions huh!
what's happened that there's so much darkness and negativity around!!

let me leave with these words of Hope:
"And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
    Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm"
    (Mark 4:39)

The Lord of Saturn

I wrote this song sometime during February. Had a clear idea in mind about the theme of the song. I wished to tell a story... a story of souls! So here it is... The shadow of Saturn Falls on you The Lord of Saturn Is stalking you He commands the beast in you Dread the path it leads you through Fight a war with the beast within Fight a war that you must win! No peace, no sleep Not a dime to keep No love, no fame In this bitter game The shadow of Saturn Falls on you The Lord of Saturn Is stalking you Brace the lord, brace the Lord of Lore Brace the lord, brace the Lord of Soul Brace the lord, brace the Lord of Zeal Brace the lord, brace the Lord of Strength The peace you seek Is the fruit you'll reap Your love, your fame Will be yours in time The shadow of Saturn Falls on you The Lord of Saturn Is stalking you I am working on the composition of this song. I have completed recording the first stanza and I am hoping to finish the song as soon as possible. Will keep you posted on the pr...

The Making of Laya

The Idea Ideas for musical scores, songs or themes come to me randomly. Sometimes, I get inspired by a situation or works from other artists. The idea for this composition ( read full article and listen to the composition here ) came as a ‘need’ to compose a fusion track. I am still in the process of discovering my sound and experimenting is the only way to achieve it. Hence it makes perfect sense, at this point of time, to experiment with every genre of music under the sun! So fusion it is… this time! Every composition has a ‘hook’ that grabs the listeners’ attention. "A hook is a musical idea, often a short riff, passage, or phrase that is used in popular music to make a song appealing and to "catch the ear of the listener" - Wikipedia. In this composition, strangely though, I see two hooks (in my head). The first hook ‘came’ to me when I was experimenting with the samples in my new “Sounds of India” audio sample CD I recently bought. I was playing some tunes on India...
